In my humble opinion the best way to get to experience an environment is to get stuck into it! I´ve done
deserts, jungles, and mountains ... so its a personal opinion based on experience.
For some people, this is a great idea. However, (got my serious hat on now) we need to put things into real
perspective. Unless you are currently working for the SAS or US Navy Seals, or similar, then you will need to
adapt to a sudden change in environment. The Amazon is in the tropics. Its hot and humid. The experience I
offer you is not air-conditioned. There will be a mix of luxury (start and finish) but in between there will be
both basic accommodation AND less than basic .... we're talking hammocks strung between trees! and
mosquito nets that may not be totally mosquito proof!! Despite the heat of the day, it can get quite cool at
night ... this is relative! But it will be a difference in temperature that you will notice and feel.

Outline plan
I will tailor a trip to suit your needs. The basic trips that can be arranged are
based on the following durations:
- The Amazon Adventure - a 5 day sampler of the Rainforest environment
- The Amazon Immersion - 10 to 21 days of humid fun!
- The Amazon Expedition - 3 months or more in the jungle
Unless otherwise agreed or indicated, all flights, accommodations, road and
river transport, food, equipment etc will be organised by me and included in
the total cost. Some meals,and all alcoholic drinks are not included.

Payment will be made in accordance with a schedule agreed at the time of initial booking
A non-refundable reservation fee of £200 (minimum 6 people in a group) once outline schedule is agreed
A part refundable (*) initial payment when the trip is formally agreed (50% of advised price)
The balance will be payable one month prior to departure date and is not refundable
You will arrange your own pre-trip medical consultancy and bring any appropriate supplies (malaria pills etc)
You will arrange travel insurance
You will advise me of any personal circumstances that may impact on the tour eg illnesses, disabilities,
special diet arrangements etc
(*) once we have made reservations, if there is a need to cancel or alter dates we will do what we can to
obtain refunds of monies paid out. This is out of our control and we cannot guarantee 100%.
