Planning will begin in earnest in September 2009, although we have already
initiated discussions with our contacts in Manaus. A brief outline of our tour
design is given below.

The exact dates of the Tour haven't yet been agreed. We will contact those who have expressed an interest
in this tour in a few weeks time to establish both the preferred start date and its duration.
The next step will be to discuss the logistics of the tour and to establish the outline prices based on the start
point being either London or Sao Paulo/Rio de Janeiro/Natal.
By November we will set out the full itinerary.
By February 2010 we will advise the final pricing and ask for reservation deposits.
Payment for the Tour thereafter will be divided into two payments - the first will be the confirmation deposit
(payable in June 2010), and the second will be the final balance outstanding (a month prior to the trip).
The only thing NOT included in the price will be tips to the guides and staff on the trip, and drinks. In the
past we have paid this as we went along and then divided the costs at the end.

Real Amazon Experience
Our previous tours to the Amazon have utilised a jungle lodge as its base. The last tour, in September
2007, also incorporated a boat-based section which proved successful.
The plan for 2010, therefore, will build on this experience and we aim to ulitilise a river boat as a floating
base and to navigate the Solimoes river and its estuaries to maximise the chance of seeing bird and animal
life.
A broad outline of our plans will be published in August, 2009 and will be amended and adjusted until we
have confirmation of the number of adventurers participating.
